Do I qualify for legal aid?
Asylum, trafficking, detention, domestic abuse and some human rights cases can be covered, subject to a means test and a merits test. We check on the first call, and if you qualify we transfer you to Kalsi Legal Aid at no charge.
What makes a fresh claim different from the last one?
A fresh claim has to rely on new material that was not considered before and that creates a realistic prospect of success. Repeating the old claim is not enough. We look at what has changed and build the evidence around it.
I have been in the UK without leave for years; is there a way back?
Often there is, through long residence, family life, private life or protection, depending on your history. We tell you plainly what is possible before you pay anything.
